Places of Interest: Ajmer Dargah Sharif & Pushkar Lake, Ghats and Brahma Temple
The city of Ajmer is located at a distance of 135 km from the state capital Jaipur. The city is surrounded by the Aravalli Mountains. It is a pilgrimage centre for the shrine of the Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and is also the base for visiting Pushkar (12 km), an ancient Hindu pilgrimage city, famous for the temple of Brahma.
Jaipur - Ajmer (135kms)
After breakfast at the hotel, depart by car for a day trip to Ajmer and Pushkar.
Upon arrival in Ajmer, you will visit Ajmer Dargah Sharif - Ajmer Sharif is one of the most sanctified shrines in the country. Located in the heart of Ajmer, this dargah is venerated by both Muslims and Hindus.
Next visit Adhai Din Ka Jhopra, Nasiyan Temple and Ana Sagar Lake.
Ajmer - Pushkar (12kms)
After lunch we will drive towards Pushkar and it's at least a 30 minute distance from Ajmer.
At Pushkar we will explore:
Pushkar Lake: Pushkar Lake is considered one of the most sacred lakes and main attraction of this area. Hindu pilgrims flock this place due to this holy lake and now become a center for Hindu pilgrimage. This lake said to have consecrated to Lord Brahma, the creator of universe when lotus dropped from his hand into the vale and lake emerged in this place.
Brahma Temple: The temple is dedicated to Lord Brahma, the creator of universe. Most importantly, it is the only temple in the world where Lord Brahma is worshipped.
Savitri Temple: The temple is seen atop the Ratnagiri Hill, which is dedicated to Goddess Savitri, the wife of Lord Brahma.
In the evening after the sightseeing of Ajmer and Pushkar drive back to the Jaipur and you will be transferred to your desired place in Jaipur with a bunch of sweet memories.
